AI, or LLMs- are quite the buzz these days. They’re certainly capable of some interesting things and may open some interesting avenues in particular parts of particular fields. However, though these tools may increase the speed and ease of certain parts of game design/development, I wish to announce here that AI tools are not used for the coding or development of my games, and likely never will be. A massive part of my love for game design and development is the problem solving processes, the creative solutions and the “Aha!” moments when something finally clicks. To some, my wish not to use AI may be off-putting or seem Luddite-esque, and to some it may draw praise. I am not looking for either, I simply have my own philosophies and reasons why I do what I do, and automating the creative process, or technical process, isn’t part of that for me. Mantle Requiem is carrying on, and getting better than ever. I missed my early/mid 2025 beta testing due to being very busy, but beta testing should commence soon.
